HOW WE RECRUIT FOR THE NEW SKILL BUILDERS PROGRAM

We find our potential students through a number of highly-effective grass-roots and large-scale recruitment mechanisms, including:

1. Link outreach agreements with The Illinois Department of Employment Security, the Apprentice Information Centers, and the One-Stop Career Centers.

2. Informal networks such as the local church, community-based organizations, Alderman and local politicians serving Chicago residents, and word-of-mouth recruitment.

3. Community notices advertising the NSB’s bi-monthly informational sessions.

Through these means,, we will introduce you to the many career opportunities available within the construction industry, the qualifications for entering those careers, and how the New Skill Builders program can help develop the skills needed to meet and exceed career entry requirements.
