WELDING PROGRAM

About The Program

The welding class is conducted jointly with Chicago Women in Trades, and it began on July 27th, 2009. The goal is to ensure that NSB graduates will be engaged in retention strategies as we wait for the economy to recover. Many of the apprenticeship programs require intensive welding training, and the welding program will prepare our students to grasp the skill and in some cases the certification from American Welding Society.

We also anticipate some our students will secure spots in the trades that require welding (597 Hybrid, Heat and Frost, and the Iron Workers) and will also be valued in the manufacturing sector.

The welding program is only open to NSB graduates at this time. Please contact us for more information.
